How a TruScore is Calculated
Learn how TruScore evaluates build materials, joinery techniques, fair pricing, and audited standards to generate an objective 0–100 craft quality score.
How a TruScore is Calculated
An objective, automated 0–100 product quality score that evaluates raw materials, construction specs, manufacturing origin, and price-to-durability value.
1. Scanning the Product Page & Brand Site
The TruCrafters engine looks beyond marketing headlines to read the complete product listing, technical specification sheets, materials guides, warranty terms, care manuals, and company about pages.
2. Analyzing the Details Against Category Benchmarks
Extracted claims are checked against certified industry standards (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, FSC, LWG) and category-specific durability benchmarks to determine material authenticity, joinery integrity, and chemical safety.
3. Assigning Scores & Generating the Quality Report
Every finding influences the final TruScore across the 5 Craft Pillars: Materials, Specs & Build, Origin, Value, and Brand Integrity. Standard commercial items start with a 75% baseline pass.
4. Claiming Products & Providing Proven Evidence
Verified brand owners and independent makers can claim their product records, upload verifiable lab reports or supply chain certifications, and trigger an automated score reassessment.
